Kate Brooks
Kate Brooks is a biblical counselor with a deep commitment to the church and discipleship. She is certified through the Association of Biblical Counselors. She is also a Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider Level 1 through the Christian Trauma Healing Network. She has earned degrees in early childhood and elementary education and has worked in Christian schools for eight years in a variety of roles. After starting a family of her own, she organized and led evangelistic playgroups for women in her community to introduce them and their children to Jesus Christ and his people.
In addition to working with adults who suffer from chronic illness and chronic pain, she offers counseling for anxiety, traumatic grief and loss, spiritual abuse, religious OCD/scrupulosity, and women’s issues. She also works with children ages 12 and up who have suffered from painful life events. You’ll find her to be a compassionate listening ear and wise guide in processing and living in the midst of suffering. She, too, has been through very difficult life circumstances, church hurt, and continues to battle chronic pain. Through all this she has seen how the Lord will not let her foot slip. She knows that this promise holds true for all of God’s children.
Kate and her husband, Nate, live in a small town outside of Raleigh, NC, with their three children. She grew up on the central coast of CA, where she will always call “home.” She loves nature, especially the beach and mountains, and good food just about any way she can get it. In her spare time she enjoys her “other” side gig – making mobiles out of old books for her Etsy studio, KaliKateKreates. Kate offers a support group for people living with chronic illness and chronic pain that meets on Fridays throughout the year. She also counsels individuals throughout the week, including evening hours. Register for Kate’s support group and/or individual counseling below or contact her at kate@
